After 15 years working in communications for the Church of England in Nottinghamshire, I moved to live out in Cyprus in 2013 as an army wife. This was a big change for me and for our family, so this blog was started as a record of the experiences, difficulties and dilemmas, as well as some of the crazy stuff that made me smile.

Now back in the UK a new adventure is beginning in rural Devon where I have recently moved with my now ‘ex-army’ husband. Along with freelance communication work and writing, I continue to add to my blog intermittently – hoping to drop a few pebbles that might make interesting ripples for family, friends, colleagues and even those I have never met…

My first book was published by Lion in August 2017 and is a memoir entitled ‘I married a soldier’. It tells the moving story of army wife, Brenda Hale who faced her worst nightmare after her husband was killed in Afghanistan.
